If we somehow could have the usual iptables filtering for an unknown ip and a different, unlimited or near-unlimited connection for whitelisted ips, it could probably work. But if there were only whitelisting servers and the delay (ANY delay) was there, I wouldn't be able to use it. I just can't connect to another wifi and wait 5 minutes.
