Between Dean and myself, the following IP addresses have been recorded
as being the source of the attacks. It appears that if you block one
IP, they move on to another, however the attack has stopped for the moment.

It is uncertain if they are working from a limited set of IP sources, or
if the IP is simply spoofed with a random address.
