I know what you mean!

I like to think I have a bit more creativity in me than that, and I
can hack things, code(web), images etc, but struggle to get off the
ground, hence collaboration being a good thing!

I use use G.I.M.P. (being an O.S.S. advocate) in Linux, and know that
it is not quite up to photoshops standard, but then the price of P.S.
you'd expect it to do a good job!

So do we have any graphic designers (using whatever software)?

P.S. Has anyone had any experience in compiling GIMP 2.8? I wish it
was in the Mint repo's by now, ho hum...
