I like your idea of getting money to fund some Anycast IPs for OpenNIC.
But what I don't like is an official connection of the OpenNIC project
to a brand new church.
- - Churches are about believing, which has proven to not make reliable
sponsors for science
- - People not believing in Kopimism might feel left out
- - Monetary control of the project in the hands of religious outsiders
Also, I couldn't find your confession of faith on the Idaho website.
Maybe you can send me a link off-list, so I can learn some more?
And what I fear most people would think when OpenNIC is presented
publically:
Church sponsored global Internet Infrastructure sounds not like a
secular project leadership and more like shari'ah.
