Absolutely. I think you only need to learn that lesson once, though maybe reminded of it a few times afterwards (!).

I will definitely make sure that if anything like this needs to happen again, I will be informing the group of it one way or another. Once again, apologies for any annoyance and/or inconvenience in what has occurred.
