I wonder if there might be a means in the future to protect OpenNIC
TLDs by means of copyright, trademark, or some other means of
intellectual property protection? After all, just because ICANN is
bigger, if OpenNIC had the name first, should they not still have
first right to it? After all it's the same internet...

I don't think it's really that cut and dry from a legal stand point, I
think we could probably cobble together a little bit of a legal leg to
stand on if we put our heads together...

Anyway, just some initial thoughts on that....
