and I should have added, the IP's and usernames aren't logged if the server's policy isn't logged, and perhaps make it a policy not to link the user to an ip or a query beyond X hours, for abuse and maintenance reasons only

subscription in this sense does not have any assoicated costs, that'd go
against what OpenNIC stands for.
