That's about what you can expect from most national providers. The
problem isn't the bandwidth itself being that expensive, it's the fact
that they have to bury 200ft of fiber to your location.

I'd imagine they'd try to lock you into a 5 year contract to ensure it
gets paid off.

Not everyone is lucky enough to live or work in a building that has
existing metro ethernet participation.
