This isn't really OpenNIC related, but I know a lot of us either work in networking or server & networking enthusiasts.

I'm in West Virginia in the US. I'm interested in getting bandwidth for a project here, I'm about 200ft from a fiber route. A national company (Zayo) quoted me like $1750/month (and $1750 NRC) for dedicated 100Mbps service. Is that good or bad? I feel like that's high based on what I pay to providers for colocation or server leasing.

Should I consider contacting other bandwidth companies? Does anyone have experience getting interconnects with Level3, Zayo, Lumos, or others inside datacenters that you colocate in?

Thanks for the tips, if any.

P.S. A few of you probably know I had this idea to start a WISP a few years ago. I'm moving forward with it now. This could potentially mean some free bandwidth & colocation space for OpenNIC!
