I would find it a good idea if we all would look for non-IANA DNS hosters and share the list!

1) I sometimes I work with name-space.com but there customer service is not ideal

2) new.net only works with subdomains

3) simpleDNS.com promises to do it

4) unifiedroot.com only accepts extensions they like and with a contract whereby you pay them part of your commercial returns

Let's look for more and I will make and share a whole list.

I by the way finished preliminary version of website http://AlternatvieRootZone.org and I also explicitly state we want to cooperate to the max with others re. non-IANA. And any comment welcome on this 1.0 version.

The only difference between SARZ (on above site) and opennicproject.org is that (in my eyes) SARZ is open to commercial non-IANA projects while opennic is not.

But regarding:
a) non-IANA DNS
b) search engines indexing and caching non-IANA extensions we can fully cooperate

the idea was opposite.

Other probably useful idea:
I found that my current hoster don't support non ICANN domains. It's generally not a problem, cause I'm planing to host it on my own server a bit later. But for now.... why just don't add simple temporary ICANN URL redirection feature, which gives ability to use domain as a primary domain for people who can't host it yet but would like to propagate the idea of alternative domain names.

Yes it is possible, and it is fixed already. Apologies for the issues you
were having, new registrations (and domain modifications) were being
blocked because my registration table was marked as crashed.

This is fixed now :)

Would be great to place some registrar contacts directly on the website.

This mailing list is usually where you go to get things fixed ASAP :)
