Good points from both sides.
I think we ought to convince ISPs to start resolving OpenNIC domains.
An other perhaps make linux packages that can be installed easily,
alters the DNS settings and keeps the DNS settings updated (perhaps on
boot, or via crontab).
I'm currently working on a windows app that does this as well, it
gathers ping averages from the client to all active T2's, verifies that
the end user's ISP isn't hijacking outbound DNS queries, and updates
regularly (without user intervention).
I feel that these ideas might be a step forward in the correct
direction, but there still much more work that needs to be done..
Perhaps an "idiot proof" guide to OpenNIC is in order.
