The first version was a speed hack because I just wanted something, fast 
(Revision 1). Then I added the account facilities and added some extras 
(Revision 2). This is the one you have. Since I sent the code out, I 
have improved handling of domain names and greatly enhanced the back-end 
processor (Revision 3) and now added support for custom name servers, 
added input sanitising for usernames, passwords, account names and 
domain names (longer than 2 characters, no longer than 50, no starting 
or ending with a hyphen, no double hyphens, etc) plus cleaned up a lot 
of the starter "shell" code (Revision 4 aka v0.4).

I'll send this current code base out once I am happy with the basic 
functionality of the TLD processor so you can have more of the complete 
package rather than just the front-end and half the back-end.

I also keep giving little bits of attention here and there to the whois 
component as well, but that is for later, if there is a need from within 
the OpenNIC community for it.
