We restarted some of the LDAP servers recently, and when they synced with the other servers, it seems some records were removed (this also affected T2 server entries).  I'm still trying to figure out how this could have happened, since we have restarted servers that were offline for months and never had a sync error like this before.  Unfortunately, this may be what happened to your A record as well, if it was something you entered in the past week.

the A record works and how I should manage it.

It would seem that although my domain remains registered,
the A record disappears. After logging in to reg.dyn
(or whatever it's called) and typing it in again, then
it works after it's propagated. Is this the result of
a misconfiguration, bug, or inadvertent registrar error,
or what? I'm happy to add the record from time to time,
but feel that the likely intention is that this record
should remain stable.
