You and I obviously see computers as completely
different animals. I leave everything open all
the time and never close anything. Perhaps this
is a luxury, but computers have been able to do
this for 10 years now.

Also, sorry if I came across a bit strong in my
previous comment, but to me closing programs on
a modern computer just sounded so bizarre that
it took me aback. :) I don't even know what a
"background program" is.
