This morning, I awoke to a dozen or so emails from the OpenNIC mailing list on different topics interspaced between non-OpenNIC e-mails.  I have not had to deal with this problem in over a decade because forum software typically provides for emails to be sent in daily digest form.  Discourse works well for me in other contexts because it will package posts on certain topics together and sends me one email instead of many.  It is still possible to respond via e-mail without having to visit the forum so I do not have to login unless I want to.  I am not saying that Discourse is the only answer, but the current mailing list approach is not the best option available.

Once logged in, you can stay that way. There
is no requirement to log out. Just go to the
relevant tab or window and it will all be there.
