I won’t respond to your other two no votes, they’re valid opinions I don’t 
necessarily agree with, but that’s the point of voting. I think you 
misunderstood something with Section IV though so I just want to clear that 
up...

Discussion isn’t banned during the voting period. The only thing this is 
placing time limits on is when a voting thread can begin. Basically, a voting 
thread can’t be started within 7 days of the discussion. This is obvious and 
I think we’ve all been following it anyways. Additionally, the voting period 
cannot be started until 1 day has passed following the last reply to the 
discussion. This does not prevent discussion during the vote, and doesn’t 
prevent the vote if more discussion is had following the start of the vote. 
If we follow a simple timeline:

1. Discussion thread begins. 
*7 days pass*
2. Posts are made to the discussion, furthering the time limit. 
*1 day passes following that last reply*
3. Voting thread starts
4. More discussion is posted

At this point in the time period the vote will continue uninterrupted, having 
started roughly 8 days after the initial discussion. Just because more posts 
were made following the beginning of that thread doesn’t affect the vote in 
any way.
