Brilliant, thanks!

I love the idea of the centralized support, which could possibly work in a
non centralized manor, like the domain name registration...

The idea of an A.P.I. for registering any OpenNIC T.L.D. from any registrar
and from any site for that matter, like regular registrars would be a great
idea.

I think maybe Martin C is implementing this in his great new project (just
the domain registration, not the support, although..? :-)

I believe so. I think that each registrar should have an email or contact
form or perhaps a TXT record with their contact info until we get whois
running. I think that all TLD ops should make it as easy to contact them
as possible!
Something else I have considered is a centralized support system with all
the TLDs as departments with their respective owners able to log in and
do whatever is necessary (support.opennicproject.org [2] or something).

I'll work on implementing this. However, in the meantime, I just messaged
him on facebook. It seems the only way for now because I know he is on
the list :).

Hey Alex, thanks for the quick and helpful response! :-)

I can't remember seeing Tim in the mailing list at any point and I had
hoped whoever runs the T1 for the .ing T.L.D. would have got my
messages on
this list.

If I knew Tims contact I would have approached him directly. I looked
on
the (disappearing and reappearing) register.ing site for a contact but
could
find nothing, something that seems to me to be odd, anyone should be
able
to contact a registrar directly and easily, should they not?

I hope you can get somewhere with this, thanks.

I continue to get NXDOMAIN for this, meaning "domain does not exist".
I

would imagine this is a registry issue, not your fault at all!
