I completely agree with this, and use google authenticator, lastpass, yubikey, etc for various accounts. But it's not a question of whether or not it's HARD. No, the question is, "is this convenient to use?" You won't get adoption if you don't make it as easy, reliable, and convenient to use as possible. That means consistency and reliability is incredibly important if you want people to use your product and you're the underdog. OpenNIC is most certainly an underdog in the DNS game...
