Wouldn't that defeat the object as it would be 'my' (home) I.P. that
was being used for D.N.S. resolution?

I could and might set up an exit node on my main server and publish
the node, so as to have lots of data running through it, though
bandwidth might be a problem... I was looking at the stats of an exit
node the other day and it was in terabytes! Though I guess/hope
throttling is a feature of the TOR system to avoid such excessive data
use.
