If that is all one wanted, it would be much easier (and faster) to SSH
into a box you control and use the -D option to turn on the SOCKS
proxy internal to OpenSSH. Also, because you would be running your
traffic through a box that you implicitly trust (because you run it
out of your house), that would mitigate the risk of a malicious exit
node sniffing your traffic.
