I'm therefore of the opinion that we should begin re-designing the website.

The website and wiki could both use some cleanup, but it's probably something that should be thought out rather than just suggested. What do other folks like and not like about it?

I think the suggestion had a fair amount of thought behind it and I would certainly agree with the points made.  Overall, information appears to be highly disorganized.  If there is a plan that folks are following to maintain information in a sensible manner, I am unable to discern it.  There have been complaints about confusing, conflicting, or out-of-date information.  This should be remedied by following a documented strategy.

Some things I would consider when drafting a strategy document:

- The banner is horrendously huge.  It could disappear entirely and not be missed.
- Commonly used links should be put in easily found areas, not embedded in text.
- No one wants to scroll to the bottom of a page to find the link to the mobile version.
-- Most users won't need a mobile-only site, anyway.  Get rid of it or redirect automatically.
- The footer "It starts here..." conveys no useful information.
- The text at the bottom of the front page is blue, bold, and smaller font for no apparent reason.
-- *Ehem.*  An entire paragraph wrapped in <h6> and <em>?
-- And an empty <h2> element, to boot.  Use the W3C Validator's outline: http://bit.ly/TCbTds.
- Don't embed URLs in text.

Granted, the above is an extremely brief list.  Most of them are simple things that need to be fixed so focus can be put on more important item, like a cohesive style and a consistent message.
