Thank you.

Maybe, good idea to separate legal entity and technical sensitive information storages, and deploy them under different jurisdiction.

I remember, one my far relative used to work in Russian bank.

When authority come in to arrest bank properties.. They suddenly revealed, bank does not own property!
Business-suits was rented. Computers, printers, furniture, etc - everything was leased in 3rd party company.
Technical specialists - are contractors from 4th company.
As result, they was able to arrest pencils, paper, etc. No more...

Oleg, It's not a bad proposal, it might be where we start, and perhaps move the foundation later, when we're more established and/or experienced in the legal issues of running a foundation. Or just settle for a good canary trap & see what happens....

I agree. Wasn't right.
US is country, where anyone can sue anyone for anything. Unfortunately, this is trust.
Sorry for wrong proposal.

Plus, it's known here (by smart people) that nonprofits are largely a joke that serve the interests of their donors. Remember these guys?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdTI

I can see advantages and disadvantages to that, I'm aware of 501(c)3
(the 3 is important) I've started a small few before, But I think Ladar
Levison proves the US isn't the right place for OpenNIC

Now the question is where to Establish the foundation, I'd like to
find a jurisdiction that has been fighting for Internet freedom
already, Iceland comes to mind as a possibility.
About establish foundation:

I think, if establish in the US, need to create non-profit
organization, 501(c) tax exempt:

Major advantage - donation to non-profit is tax-deductible.
This is great opportunities to collect donations.
