It's not a country and opennic has yet to propose a country code (or name) tld policy.

If you go by the current status the .LL tld proposal would fall under the same category as .js , .ii or . whatever 2 letter tld someone requests here.

Personally I d rather not depend on liberland becoming a nation or not to resolve the opennic country code or name policy status.

Conversely I would not want to see the .LL application be shot down here by insisting two letter TLDs are currently reserved for countries only. It's simply not the case.

Considering liberland may never be recognized as a country I would suggest going with the fair policy of allowing potential country code or name TLDs with the understanding and obligation to cede the tld to new nations upon request.

I ran this idea by Aaron some days back for consideration in any official tld name policy proposal.

I'm now suggesting it here to all members to make it a part of opennics current tld name policy and included in any future tld name policy proposals.

That should ease the country word / name  debate and help us focus on other merits or lack thereof thereof of a tld request.

That sounds good.
I would also vote yes.
It could be really nice to promote OpenNIC and have an easy and ccTLD like TLD for Liberland.
