One potential issue is that iirc Google charge to release extensions for 
chrome to the public — when I signed up, it cost £25. 

I've got an account, so if I can publish without exposing my real name that 
would be fine, but otherwise we might need to fund someone's Google developer 
account. I'd be more than happy to chip in a little.
