I've been using my own icons to make sure we don't run into any problems
with copying images from the internet. I did make some adjustments to
the flag image to make them stand out a little better, but I also added
a different map type to the controls which does not have all the color
(click the blue [+] icon on the far right side of the screen and choose
OpenStreetMaps). Between the two changes, everyone should be able to
easily see the icons now.

There *was* a close icon on the pop-up boxes previously. I'm going to
have to look back through my code and try to figure out when the close
button went away...
