I object.

As i explained. It's a vote. And i'll repeat as my vote on this

I object.

Still i think it would be wise to post this as a new thread, so people
see it, most email client have a "ignore thread" function to filter
stuff.

Dear nanashiRei <nanashi.rei AT gmail.com>, Open Nic (all),

We would like to co-operate with Open Nic....that counts for

But in order to cooperate, in Europe we have to know what you
want.....what you statutes are...with whom we kan make agreements.

If Open Nic is a non-organisation, a kind of anarchistic group that
does formally not exist (no legal body) and where we do not know the
decision procedure, it is more difficult to cooperate.

Is it correct open nic has appr. 1000 'members' who are not official
members, and that decision making goes by referendum? Ok, that is a
basis.

Question 'from Europe': would you like to cooperate with us?

Advantages I can imagine:
Altrootfoundation could 'cover' your existing extensions - you remain
the Intellectual Property owner of your extensions

Multiwebsphere can decide to include or exclude your Open Nic
extensions in 1) MultiWebSphere - Brower 2) SEARZ search engine 3)
plug in for all browsers. Any preference?

Altrootfoundation is not for profit, Multiwebsphere is.

I am looking forward to reactions.

The way things get decided on OpenNIC is in a democratic vote. It does
not matter how many people vote for something as long as there is more
opposing votes then there are votes in favor of it. There are close to
300 people on the mailing list and all of them have a say in this.
However, if they don't respond, then they are to be rated as
abstentions, after a certain amount of time. And it's not just me and
Alex H. who object to altroot/mws association with OpenNIC.

Now, if you would want to request an informal association with OpenNIC,
you'll have to post a proposal for it and call for a vote. At least
that's how i understand it.

Dear Alex, nanashiRei <nanashi.rei AT gmail.com>, and other Open Nic
members,

What is the decision procedure in an informal association as Open NIC,
re. exclsuion?

All I mail are possibilities to generate and host domain names outside
ICANN. That is also exactly you objective.

That is exactly the topic I am posting about, so we are fully in line!

If a little majority of Open Nic (just a guess) would be 'jealous', is
not my therapeutic task to look at that.

Kind regards,
