I think that's a really bad idea, people should be allowed to communicate in
whatever language they want. It's just the proposals and votes that should be
in English, and when I come up with the proposal for this, the text would be
limited to proposals and votes.

Spilling over into your "yea/nay for the whole package only" proposal thread,
perhaps looking at a situation like this (English for
proposals,votes,discussions) can encourage the same line-item yea/nay which
successfully standardized our voting and discussion policies?

For example, the ongoing vote on invalidating the previous contested vote
originally included Jonah's not-so-popular rushed-in addon. This is too often
how US Congress works (think how REAL ID was unpopular until it passed as an
addon to the Hurricane Katrina emergency funding bill). Limiting ourselves to
this is a bad idea, especially given our past successes with line-item
yea/nay.
